Put simply, the benefits of networking to a small business should never be underestimated. Meeting up with like-minded fellow businessmen and women can be a very useful way to share ideas, and maybe win some new contracts.
- The Lanarkshire Business Group is a non-profit making business breakfast club that promotes inter-trading and passing of business leads between its members.
The group was set up in 2000 and has already passed over four thousand sales introductions worth many thousands of pounds to its members.
Our members are mostly, but not exclusively, based in the North and South Lanarkshire areas.
- Only one person per profession is admitted as a member of the Group. This locks out your competition from joining and from taking advantage of our business networking opportunities.
Whenever a member meets a potential prospect who has a need for your services, they recommend your company.
- The meetings take place at South Lanarkshire Council Offices, Almada Street, Hamilton ML3 0AA, every Tuesday morning 7am till 8.30 am.

- Our morning begins with some networking from 7am . Here we have the chance to meet members and chat over a coffee.
- 7:35AM
- After our informal chat over a coffee, we start our meeting with an education spot, here one of the members will share tips and business advice on a wide range of topics from marketing to employing and managing staff to surviving the recession.
- Each member then has the opportunity promote their own business in the 60 second slot, this is ideally used to promote any offers available or talk about an ideal business they would like a referral from.
8:00 AM
- Time for a hearty breakfast and more networking. One of our members will then give a 10 minute presentation on their business. If you want to bring your laptop we have facilities for large screen displays.
- Our meetings although relaxed, are focused on why we are there to achieve continuous, strong referrals.

Referral Slot / Members Contributions
At the end of our meetings we go round the table and pass business referrals to one anothe, this is the most important part of the meeting, where members focus on giving business leads testimonials within the group.
